Life of a Socialite (hahah)
Things have been a little crazy and hectic in the land of never. I have had many deadlines looming and a week packed full of evening activities. Today is the only day that I don’t have anything going on. I’m actually looking forward to it- because then I can actually do things around the house that haven’t been getting done. Christmas cards are also something that need to be started on- after all I usually have them done by now. Something tells me that my list is going to be short this year, although my mom assures me that if I don’t send cards, that the world will still rotate on its axis. Who would have thought?

I Heart Direct TV
I don’t know about you, but I finally got so fed up with the cable company that I finally started calling around to see if I could find Direct TV in my area. My parents have been using them for years and when I visit, I can always find something great on television to watch, regardless of what time of the day or night it may happen to be.
The great thing about Directtv is that they have all the channels that I love and my parents said they don’t tend to drop channels every other month the way my cable television provider has been doing. Mom actually said she was surprised that it took me this long to want to switch, but the reality is that I would have switched a long time ago, but I kept procrastinating. That day is over though and I’m ready to enjoy channels like the Food Network, Discovery, HGTV and Hallmark whenever I’d like. I’ve already been looking at Direct TV Packages in my area and if all goes well it won’t be long and I’ll have everything set up and ready to go. All I can say is that it’s about time, but you know the old saying, better late than never. Maybe I’ll get lucky and they’ll be having a promotion so I can check out some of the extra packages for a limited time. I’m excited though, because I should have everything connected in time to catch all the holiday specials, which are one of my favorite things about the holidays.
Coupon Codes
Another great tip for shopping online is that when you prepare to check out, make sure that you search online for any coupon codes for the particular site you are shopping with. Many websites offer coupon codes that can be found by doing a simple search. I recently had a jacked in my shopping cart that was on sale, but after a quick search for coupon codes, I saved an additional 20% AND got free shipping, so the $80 jacket ended up costing me $23. Those are the kind of deals that I adore.
Shopping Made Easy
I don’t know about y’all, but with the holidays just around the corner I’ve already started making my shopping lists. I know some people don’t like to start their shopping until after Thanksgiving, but since I do most of my shopping online, I figure I can get started anytime I like, and from the comforts of home.
When I find great deals, I always love to share them, and one of my favorite places to shop is Shop Wiki. It works similar to the way that many of the search engines work. What they do is send out ‘crawlers’ who visit many sites throughout the entire Internet and bring them together in one place, where you and I can reap the benefits. Since I work and don’t have tons of time,, this fan literally save me hours of shopping time. If I want information about Sports and Recreation then I do the search and can narrow it down by what type of sport and ultimately what product I’d like to have.
For example, I really want to buy my nephew some Inline Skates and this way I can find all the best prices for Inline skates in one location, which saves me valuable search time. I know what size he needs and the style he wants, so all I have to do is click on the link which offers what I’m looking for at the price I’m willing to pay, check out and voila’ the product is on it’s way to me. Simple I know.
My brother is a huge golf fan, so when I get ready for golf gift ideas, I can search the site, and find the perfect gift for my brother, such as the textured polo’s that will probably end up under the tree for him this year. Shop Wiki tells me where to find the best prices, and I make the choices from there. Anyone who has little extra time or anyone who is looking for a great deal, can definitely benefit from this site.

Been a While
It has been a while since I darkened the halls of this little journal, but I’ve decided to dust off the cobwebs and start writing here occasionally. Sometimes I may just share links to my other spaces, and other times I may write about something that happens to be on my mind at the time.
I love to travel and shop, plus when I find great products and other goodies, I like to share them, so maybe I’ll do some of all of that. I also have a few friends here, so it’s good to keep up with them as well when I have a little extra time.
Anyway- it’s good to be back here, and looking forward to seeing what the adventure holds.

Going- Going- Gone
Time for me to get busy. I’ve got coffee to drink, and then time to spend some time on the elliptical before my favorite guy gets home from work later on today.
I can’t believe yet another week has flown by, and tomorrow is Friday. Sometime or another I would like to make some scones- Maybe that will happen this afternoon before date night. I guess wéll see.
If not- there’s always tomorrow.
Happy weekend. Not sure how much I’ll be around between now and Monday.
